What is the Oxford Credit Union?

The Oxford Credit Union is a registered financial co-operative operated

by its members who live or work in Oxford City. It provides financial

services, such as savings accounts and affordable loans.

How does it differ from a bank?

It is member-owned and run purely for the benefit of its members. There are no

outside shareholders and any profits are returned to the members as a

dividend. It provides its services locally, at a time when many post offices

and banks are closing.
